Check out new blog...for those of you that like to bake

Hey everybody

Hi all! You have not been abandoned so don't worry. There are several more people who want to read the book/join the blog. I am in the process of ordering more books. I know that some of you are already finished with the book, but try not to forget what you read :) I am fine with people posting relevant posts. Know that we will take this blog through at least the end of March.

I am reading one of Michael Pollan's other books In Defense of Food. He begins his book by discussing the different reasons that people eat. Why do you eat? Does this involve your family/friends? Does it serve a purpose other than just providing nutrients to your body?

Also, I am planning a simple foods cooking night for early April where those who are part of the blog will hang out at school and cook a meal together. Just know that this is in the works. It's optional for those that are interested. Talk to you soon!

Concerning posts

Recently Ms.Morrison hasn't been checking the blog, and there haven't been any new posts. I think Ms.Morrison would allow us create posts concerning nutrition topics ONLY that are informative, or a forum on nutrition. If you make a post, please keep it on topic(nothing about ninjas, Elmo, dancing chickens, etc.).

Sincerely,
Cookiez >_<

Ch. 1

What does it mean if a meal is industrial? What's the big deal with corn anyway? Anyone ever gone into a field and picked an ear of corn and cooked it that day? If so, what did you think?

PS Feel free to add your own questions that connect to part 1 :)

Welcome!

Welcome to Ms. Morrison's E/LA You Are What You Eat Nutrition Blog

First question,

We have just finished up Food Rules by Michael Pollan. What food rules are part of your family? (good or bad)
